New Teaching Accommodation
at
Enfield College
Hertford Road
Enfield
Middlesex
BHP Architects was commissioned to design and procure a new teaching block and travel centre at Enfield College. The new two storey teaching block contains twelve general teaching spaces, two hairdressing salons, a nursery, staff rooms, students common room, offices and cloakrooms.
The glazed umbilical link allows access to the existing college buildings and provides a focal point at the pivotal junction between old and new. A single storey building housing the travel centre is located in a courtyard within the college and has a glazed pergola connecting the hall to the cafeteria. Both buildings are steel frame structures with silver aluminium cladding panels.
