Secondary Tuition Centre (STC)
at
Bullsmore Lane
Enfield
BHP Architects has been commissioned by London Borough of Enfield to design a new Secondary Tuition Centre on a new 'brownfield' site, to replace the existing provision, which is inefficiently spread across three sites in the Borough with accommodation that is not fit for purpose.
The high quality, sustainable new facility will enhance learning opportunities for up to 100 secondary school pupils, who for a variety of reasons cannot be educated in mainstream schools. The STC will also offer a range of educational and sporting activities that will be open to the wider community outside of school hours.
The new development in the Bull's Cross conservation area will comprise a single-storey building (with double-height school hall) of 2,583sqm, together with car parking, all-weather games courts and landscaped areas. The building will be clad in Siberian Larch externally.
